About Us

Founded in 1987, Springboard Schools is a family of early learning centers that has four state-licensed locations throughout Massachusetts. Our schools follow the Reggio Emilia approach, which means we value inquiry, expression, emergent curriculum, project based, child-led learning and parent/teacher communication. With the combination of experienced staff, and classrooms built to inspire, our children are able to grow into lifelong learners.

Our centers in Arlington, Chelmsford, Sudbury and Westford are embedded within each community. They boast unique, locally-focused centers with components that grow naturally out of each setting. Our directors and teachers regularly evaluate the socio-economic, cultural and individual needs of each community and evolve based on those needs.

Parent/Teacher Communication

As a Reggio Emilia inspired school, we believe that parent and teacher communication and participation is vital to the growth and well-being of each child. As teachers, we are co-constructors in our little learners’ lives. We understand that parents can’t come to the center in the middle of a busy workday. That’s why we use a parent/teacher dashboard called Tadpoles to keep parents up-to-date.

Using Tadpoles, our teachers log daily activities in the classroom, making note of any new insights, interests, projects or concerns. Our teachers are able to track, communicate, and send pictures to parents throughout the day.

Our hope is that Tadpoles helps facilitate communications between parent/home and teacher/school to make everyday and every transition easier for our children and families.
